TEL Airflow Monitors and Controls are commonly used for fume cupboards, fume hoods, and safety cabinets. This monitor and control system is designed for the end uses and manufacturers to ensure the safety of users working with industrial and educational fume cupboards, fume hoods and biological safety cabinets. It is commonly used in research centres, universities and colleges, government facilities, hospitals and laboratories to ensure the safety of staff and legislation compliance.

Airflow monitors and control come with function such as airflow monitoring, push button functions, remote airflow sensors and pressure monitoring. Unique airflow sensors are used to measure face velocities or duct velocities accurately. The sensor will provide clear and stable readings over many years of operation, ensuring reliability and safety of the cabinet. For safety management purpose, there are real time graphs of face velocity or pressure.

Many design of fume cupboard ventilation systems are full fresh air type, where a high amount of energy is wasted when the fume cupboards are not in use. By converting to airflow monitors and control, it helps to reduce volumes by up to 85%, reducing both energy costs and carbon emissions. The TEL airflow monitors and controller reduces the volume of air taken from the fume cupboard.

By installing PC network software, it allows the user with network access to access the controls or groups of controls for download or uploads alarm and control parameters, diagnostics, data logging of alarms or events, real time graphs of face velocity or pressure, link to maintenance data base, remote access via Internet, and connection to BMS.
